After a storm, fragments of boards are often thrown onto the Saimaa shore, the largest lake in Finland. The waves dredge up what has been lying on the lake floor for decades or even a hundred years. An old pier or a Viking boat? It could be anything, and it could lie at the bottom for any number of years. One time I found a board with old forged nails. I suddenly got the crazy idea to make a design for knife overlays using these ancient nails. This design was created on Cape Tiuruniemi, a place with a rich history. But more on that the next time a new design is inspired by this amazing place in South-East Finland

We operate on a made-to-order basis. This means that when you place an order, we have some time to make it. The time it takes depends on how complicated the style is. The production time is listed in the features. We try to stock up, but it doesn't work out. Thank you for that!

Each set of scales is designed using a 3D modeling process and precision CNC machining technology, ensuring perfect fitment and consistent quality. After machining, the scales are carefully hand-ground, painted and oiled for a smooth finish and long-lasting protection. There are many tears and sweat between these stages. You won't know, because no one reads this far
