The brand was founded by Konstantin Kulikov, a second-generation knifemaker from the historic city of Kizlyar in Dagestan. His father, Valentin Kulikov, had established the renowned PP Kizlyar production company in 1998, building on traditions dating back to the early 1990s

Inspired by his experience distributing knives and studying international markets—including time in Australia—Konstantin assembled a multinational team of designers and engineers from Russia, Australia, Germany, and Japan starting in 2009.
