Spyderco Pingo handle scales

Spyderco Pingo handle scales

The Spyderco Pingo is a collaborative design by Danish knifemakers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes, created specifically to meet Denmark's strict knife laws banning locking blades and one-hand-opening folders. Building on Spyderco's UK Penknife SLIPIT concept and early DK prototypes, Anso and Voxnaes developed a completely new model with a sheepfoot blade of N690Co steel, a small non-functional Trademark Round Hole for two-handed opening, and a notched slipjoint mechanism. Prototypes were refined by removing traditional rabbit-ear spine bumps. Released in 2012 and named after the nickname of Denmark's Crown Prince, the Pingo offers versatile cutting performance in a socially friendly, legal everyday carry package that has gained worldwide popularity beyond its original Danish market
