The Spyderco Pattadese (model C257GP) is a modern tribute to the traditional resolza (or Pattadese), the iconic folding knife from Pattada, Sardinia, Italy—part of Spyderco's celebrated Ethnic Series

Spyderco first explored Sardinian heritage with the larger Pattada (C204) around 2013–2014, reinterpreting the classic sheep-foot blade and shepherd's slipjoint design with premium materials and the signature Trademark Round Hole™ for one-handed opening

Building on fan interest and feedback for a more compact EDC, Spyderco introduced the Pattadese in late 2020, unveiled at Virtual SHOT Show 2021 (announced early 2021). Designed by Sal Glesser, it's ~15% smaller than traditional resolza patterns for better pocket carry

Key features: 3.16" full-flat-ground M390 stainless blade (premium corrosion resistance and edge retention), black G-10 scales over full stainless liners, liner lock mechanism (replacing slipjoint), reversible wire clip (tip-up), lightweight at 2.07 oz, and proudly made in Italy (Maniago region) for authentic craftsmanship

Priced around $290, the Pattadese blends cultural respect with Spyderco innovation, boosting global awareness of Sardinian knife heritage while delivering high-performance folding excellence
