Style features
A treasure map is a legendary chart marking buried pirate treasure or hidden riches, popularized by Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island (1883). Iconic features include "X marks the spot," cryptic clues, and aged parchment. Though rare in real pirate history, the trope fuels adventure tales, games, and hunts worldwide

Why wood, not G10 or micarta?
Wood offers greater comfort, warmth, and aesthetic satisfaction. Wood is lighter and more pleasant to hold. Wooden scales are best suited for customization and hand finishing. Or perhaps made from G10 and micarta. Why not?
