Benchmade Contego 810 handle scales

The Benchmade Contego 810 history starts with its 2012 introduction by Benchmade, designed in collaboration with knifemaker Warren Osborne. Created as a large tactical folding knife, it delivers durability and performance for demanding users

The name “Contego” comes from Latin meaning “I protect.” It features a 3.98-inch reverse tanto blade in CPM-M4 steel for edge retention and toughness, along with textured G10 scales, AXIS lock, ambidextrous thumb studs, deep carry clip, and glass breaker. The robust build with thick blade stock reflects Osborne’s hard-use design philosophy, seen in Benchmade classics like the 940

Discontinued yet highly collectible, the Benchmade 810 Contego legacy includes 2016 carbon fiber editions honoring Osborne after his passing. It stands as a benchmark in tactical knife history
