Micarta is a premium composite material invented in 1912 by Westinghouse for electrical insulation, now a top choice for pistol grips and gun stocks. Made by layering linen, canvas, or paper with phenolic resin under high heat and pressure, it creates an incredibly tough, lightweight laminate.
