The CZ 2075 RAMI was developed by Česká zbrojovka (CZ) in Uherský Brod as the first true subcompact in the iconic CZ 75 family (designed 1975)
Development began in 1997 when designers Radek Hauerland and Milan Trkulja started prototyping a compact concealed-carry pistol. The name RAMI combines the first two letters of their first names (RAdek + MIlan). Early concepts included slide-lock-free versions for snag-free carry; a functioning prototype appeared by late 2000, with an unofficial CZ RAMI presentation in 2001
After refinements—including adding a standard slide release—the production model launched in 2003–2004 (U.S. market 2004), chambered in 9mm Luger and .40 S&W. It featured a 3-inch barrel, aluminum alloy frame, DA/SA trigger, 10+1 (9mm) or 8+1 (.40) capacity, low-profile sights, and CZ 75 ergonomics in a smaller package (6.5 inches overall, ~25 oz)
A polymer-framed CZ 2075 RAMI P variant debuted in 2005 (first polymer CZ 75-style from Uherský Brod). The decocker-only RAMI BD (or D) followed in 2008–2009
Praised for reliability, accuracy, and shootability despite size, the RAMI served concealed carry and backup roles. Production ended around 2020–2021 (alloy 9mm discontinued 2020), succeeded by striker-fired models like the CZ P-10 S
