Colt Anaconda (Pre 2020) grips

The Colt Anaconda was introduced in 1990 as Colt's first large-frame double-action revolver since the New Service (discontinued 1946), marking the company's entry into the powerful .44 Magnum market

Designed on a new heavy 'MM' frame (stainless steel only), it featured a full under-lug barrel, six-round cylinder, and smooth DA/SA action to compete with established rivals like the Smith & Wesson Model 29 (1955), Ruger Redhawk (1979), and Blackhawk. A .45 Colt variant followed in 1993. Early models faced accuracy issues, fixed by barrel redesigns, earning praise as one of the most accurate mass-produced .44 Magnums

Primarily aimed at hunters and target shooters (too large for duty/concealed carry), production ran until 1999, with custom shop versions available until 2003. Amid Colt's revolver decline, it gained a cult following but never dominated

Following the revival of the Cobra (2017), King Cobra (2019), and Python (2020), Colt reintroduced a redesigned Anaconda in 2021 (announced March 22) with a stronger frame, oversized Python action, smoother trigger, and modern enhancements—revitalizing the iconic "Snake Gun" for today's enthusiasts and hunters

The grips are compatible with various modifications of the V-frame:

  • Colt King Cobra (1986-1998)
  • Colt Anaconda (1990-2003)
  • Colt Anaconda Mk V
