Bond Arms was founded in 1995 by longtime tool and die maker Greg Bond in Granbury, Texas. Originally organized as Texas Armory (or Texas Arms in Waco), the company incorporated as Bond Arms and received BATFE licensing as a firearms manufacturer

Inspired by the classic Remington Model 95 derringer (patented 1865), Greg redesigned the over-under single-action pocket pistol—upgrading to all-stainless steel construction, modern manufacturing, trigger guard, rebounding hammer, patented trigger safety, and capability for powerful modern calibers like .45 Colt/.410

The goal: transform the Old West relic into a reliable, durable modern defensive handgun. Bond Arms quickly became the largest derringer producer worldwide, excelling in SASS competitions (multiple world championships)

In 2007, Greg's brother Gordon Bond purchased the company and became owner/president, driving expansion with interchangeable barrels, diverse calibers (rimfire to big-bore), and models like Backup, Ranger II, and Bullpup9 semi-auto

Celebrating 30 years in 2025, Bond Arms remains a Texas-based leader in premium, American-made derringers for self-defense, backup, and enthusiasts
